GLITTERBOX LONDON POP-UP
Glitterbox Takes Over Gallery with a Celebration of House Music at its Finest
Some club brands become famous because of the DJs they book. Glitterbox became famous because of the feeling it creates. Since its beginnings in Ibiza more than a decade ago, Glitterbox has grown into one of dance music’s most recognisable institutions—not simply for its world-class line-ups, but for its unapologetic celebration of house music, disco, inclusivity and pure dancefloor joy. When the iconic party arrived at Gallery on Saturday 11 April, it transformed the venue into something that felt far bigger than a London club night.
For one evening, Kensington belonged to Glitterbox.
Walking into Gallery, there was already a sense that this wouldn’t follow the normal rhythm of a Saturday night. Glitterbox crowds are different. They don’t arrive waiting for the headline act before committing to the dancefloor—they arrive ready to dance from the very first record. That energy spread through the room almost immediately, creating an atmosphere that felt both intimate and unmistakably international.
Leading the night’s stellar line-up were Catz ’n Dogz, whose reputation as one of electronic music’s most consistently inventive duos has been built over nearly two decades. Never content to stay inside one musical lane, the Polish pair have long blurred the boundaries between deep house, tech house, disco and soulful electronic music, creating sets that feel both sophisticated and effortlessly fun.
Their performance at Gallery demonstrated exactly why they continue to command dancefloors across Ibiza, Berlin and beyond.
Rather than chasing relentless peaks, Catz ’n Dogz allowed groove to take centre stage. Warm basslines rolled beneath crisp percussion while playful vocal samples, funk-inspired rhythms and beautifully judged transitions created a set that never stopped moving forward. Every record felt connected to the next, building momentum organically until the entire room became completely immersed.
If Catz ’n Dogz supplied the musical journey, Mousse T. provided a masterclass in house music heritage.
Few producers have left a greater mark on modern dance music. From the timeless success of Horny through countless remixes and decades behind the decks, Mousse T. remains one of house music’s true craftsmen. His appearance at Gallery brought an unmistakable sense of history to the evening, blending soulful vocals, uplifting piano house and disco-infused grooves that perfectly captured the spirit Glitterbox has always championed.
There was something wonderfully timeless about his selections.
Rather than relying on nostalgia, Mousse T. reminded the room why great house records never lose their power. Every vocal hook, every swinging bassline and every soaring piano chord landed with the same warmth that has defined his career for more than thirty years.
The supporting line-up ensured the energy never dipped.
Daisybelle, whose relationship with Gallery continues to grow, laid superb foundations with a warm, groove-led opening that immediately established the night’s uplifting mood. Her selections moved effortlessly between soulful house and rolling disco influences, giving the dancefloor exactly the space it needed to develop naturally before the headline performances took over.
Alongside her, Heléna Star brought a vibrant blend of vocal house and infectious percussion, balancing contemporary productions with classic influences in a set that felt perfectly suited to the Glitterbox philosophy. There was an unmistakable sense of positivity running through every transition, encouraging dancers to lose themselves in the music rather than wait for obvious moments of release.
LEV added another layer to the evening, delivering deeper, more hypnotic textures that broadened the musical journey without ever disrupting its flow. Carefully paced and beautifully programmed, the set reinforced one of Glitterbox’s greatest strengths: every DJ contributes to the same story while maintaining their own distinct identity.
Completing the billed line-up, Sunni D injected fresh energy into the room with a selection that balanced contemporary house records alongside timeless disco influences. By this stage the dancefloor had become completely unified, responding instinctively to every subtle shift in rhythm.
The night’s special guest only heightened the sense that Gallery had become part of something larger than a standalone club event. Glitterbox has always thrived on surprise appearances and shared moments, adding another layer of anticipation that kept the room engaged from beginning to end.
Throughout the evening, Gallery itself proved to be the ideal host.
Unlike larger venues where Glitterbox often unfolds before thousands of people, Gallery’s intimate layout brought every performance into remarkably close focus. There was no disconnect between DJ and audience. Smiles were exchanged across the booth. Hands reached towards the decks. The crowd didn’t simply watch the music—they became part of it.
That intimacy transformed the experience.
Gallery’s sound system handled every layer of the night’s soundtrack beautifully. Rich basslines carried genuine warmth while shimmering disco strings, soulful vocals and
intricate percussion retained exceptional clarity. It created a listening environment that rewarded both dedicated music lovers and dancers alike.
What ultimately makes Glitterbox such an enduring phenomenon is that it refuses to reduce house music to a single style.
Across one evening the soundtrack moved effortlessly between soulful house, disco, funk, vocal classics, contemporary grooves and deeper underground cuts. Every artist approached the brief differently, yet together they created a seamless musical journey that celebrated the extraordinary breadth of dance music culture.
That sense of diversity has always been Glitterbox’s greatest achievement.
It welcomes seasoned clubbers alongside newcomers, disco lovers alongside underground house fans and creates an atmosphere where the dancefloor becomes the focal point rather than the DJ booth. In an era increasingly dominated by spectacle, Glitterbox continues to prove that exceptional music and genuine human connection remain the most powerful ingredients in club culture.
As the final records drifted across Gallery, nobody seemed particularly eager to leave.
The conversations, laughter and lingering energy suggested everyone understood they had experienced something more than simply another Saturday night in London. They had experienced one of electronic music’s most celebrated brands operating exactly as intended—bringing people together through timeless records, world-class selectors and a shared love of dancing.
For Gallery, the evening represented another landmark booking in a rapidly growing reputation for hosting globally respected electronic music brands. For Glitterbox, it was further proof that no matter where the party lands, its greatest success isn’t measured by the names on the flyer.
It’s measured by the smiles on the dancefloor.
